September 2016—As part of its ongoing efforts to facilitate veterans transition to civilian life, the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) and NCCCO have joined forces to make CCO certification programs available to returning GIs. Founded in 1920, SAME unites public and private sector individuals and organizations from across the architecture, engineering, construction, and related disciplines in support of national security and, specifically, to identify and resolve national security infrastructure-related challenges. Headquartered in Alexandria, Va., SAME provides its 30,000 members opportunities for training, education and professional development through conferences, workshops, networking events and publications.
